Cheesecake Factory Dulce De Leche Caramel Cheesecake

Had the Cheesecake Factory’s Dulce De Leche Caramel Cheesecake today after a nice salad. The dessert is made in California and frozen according to our server. She said they have a truck delivery once per week. Then the cakes are thawed as needed. True “Dulce” is made by heating sweetened milk which caramelizes the sugar and gives it that caramel flavor. Basically this cheesecake delivered on that note as it definitely had a caramel flavor. There was a nice creaminess to the texture considering this had been frozen and then thawed. The graham cracker crust was disappointing to say the least as it lacked any flavor and had a soggy texture. The whipped topping was ordinary but a tasty accompaniment. I would rate this 7 stars for “Is it good” category. With over 1000 calories per serving, 44grams of saturated fat, and 91 grams of carbs this gets a 1 star for “Is it good for you” category. Incidentally, the picture seen here is of a half portion as they were nice enough to plate it this way for sharing.
